Who is GSA best for?
GSA is one of Europe’s most prestigious art schools and the obvious choice for the most ambitious art and design students. Selection is portfolio-based — Highers are a baseline rather than the deciding factor. The Mackintosh heritage, the studio-based teaching, and the Glasgow creative scene combine into something genuinely hard to replicate elsewhere. Architecture is exceptionally strong and competitive. The downside: GSA is very small, the building situation is still mid-restoration after two Mackintosh Building fires, and graduate income paths are unpredictable (though the network is excellent). If your child is serious about a creative career, this is a top-tier choice.
