Scottish house sales run through solicitor-estate agents as well as pure agencies, so a trainee can start in either — and the Scottish system (Home Reports, offers over, missives) is different enough from England that the Propertymark units are worth doing here rather than from a general guide. There is no licensing gate: the job is open at 16 with National 5s, and the certificate is what separates a negotiator from a career.
